Easter Blog Hop Contest!

I’m giving away an e-copy of my first Cowboy Kink novel, Chase and Seduction to one lucky participant.
Country music superstar/actor Chase Tanner has yet to be denied anything – and he’s never wanted anything or anyone more than gorgeous screenplay writer Reno Linden. So when the film they are working on is finally finished, Chase decides to turn up the volume on seducing Reno.
Reno Linden lived a quiet, rural life until she was thrust into the Hollywood scene when her book was adapted to film. Chase Tanner is larger than life, sinfully sexy and hell-bent on getting her into bed. Skittish after a failed wedding engagement, Reno risks the plunge into Chase’s arms, and is surprised that her good girl self can keep up with bad boy Chase.
Though Chase returns to his cowboy roots often, and Reno cherishes the time spent with him on his ranch, the two find their careers pulling them in different directions. Will their attraction survive the glitz and stress of fame?
I’m also in the middle of a new book release contest for Her Cowboy Stud, and it runs through April 30. I’m giving away a custom-made messenger bag with a $50 gift certificate to Pureromance! When you join my mailing list, you’re automatically entered in this contest as well as the ebook giveaway.

To celebrate the season, I’m sharing my absolute favorite pastry recipe. My grandmother always made this for Easter breakfast. My mother took over the responsibility not too long ago, and now I’m carrying on the tradition. Of course, the family asks me to make it a few additional times during the year, too. I call it ‘practice’ and it’s always turned out perfectly. The recipe may look difficult, but it is truly the easiest and most delicious pastry recipe I’ve ever made.
Danish Puff
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup all purpose flour
2 tbsp water
1/2 cup butter
1 cup water
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp almond extract
3 eggs (cold)
powdered sugar glaze (powdered sugar and a little milk)
nuts (I prefer walnuts)
Cut 1/2 cup softened butter into 1 cup flour, sprinkle 2 tbsp water over mixture and mix. Round into ball; divide in half.
On ungreased cookie sheet, pat each half into thin strip 12×3 inches – should be 3 inches apart.
Heat 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup water to rolling boil in medium saucepan. Remove from heat and quickly stir in almond extract and 1 cup flour. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball, about 1 minute.
Over low heat, beat in eggs (all at once) until smooth and glossy.
Divide in half, spread each half evenly over strips.
Bake about 60 minutes at 350 degrees until topping is crisp and brown. Cool.
Topping will shrink and fall during cooling, forming the custardy top of this puff.
Frost with powdered sugar glaze and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
Cut the short way, into strips. Enjoy!

Oh that does look good. I’m such a sucker for a pastry! We usually do a wheel of brie covered in any kind of jam with peppered crackers on Easter Sunday. Shoot, who am I kidding, we do brie & crackers for all family gatherings.
I’m already on your mailing list, friend on FB (although there I use my real name) & a follower of those Wild & Wicked Cowboys!
Happy Friday Randi!
