Em Petrova – The Struggle’s Just Begun
In the US, we were all devastated for the Oklahomans who were affected by the twisters ripping through their state in May. As an author who writes good ole country boy heroes, I felt a sharp pang for the Okies. I’ve been perusing websites and looking into ways to help. I hope you might help too.
In downtown Oklahoma City, a Goodwill Headquarters assists with the distribution of PRCA merchandise to those affected by the recent tornadoes. Victims will be able to come in and select what they need at no charge.
I found this website where you can donate to offset costs of food, shelter, and even laundry for the tornado victims. You can donate as little as $5. http://www.oklahomatornadovictimsdonation.com/
Feed the Children is working to supply diapers, canned goods, nonperishable food and snack items, water and sports drinks. Monetary donations are also welcome. To donate to Feed the Children, call (800) 627-4556, go online at www.feedthechildren.org/disaster, or text “DISASTER” to 80888.
Habitat for Humanity is seeking help with long-term building efforts and housing for the victims. Secure donations can also be made online at www.cohfh.org by clicking “Donate to Oklahoma Tornado Victims.”
DonorsChoose.org is partnered with Sooner and Quail Springs malls to help rebuild Moore schools. DonorsChoose.org uses donations to fund classroom recovery projects for clothing, food, books, therapy resources, teaching materials, technology and classroom furniture. Visit www.donorschoose.org/OKschools to support the effort.
These are a few interesting ways to help while sitting in the comfort of your home. I’m sure there are broader ways to support the tornado victims such as through missions groups and rebuilding efforts.
Read on for an excerpt of DALLAS NIGHTS, out now with Loose Id (http://www.loose-id.com/the-quick-and-the-hot-dallas-nights.html )
A groan ripped from his chest as he held and kissed her, letting the tension build. For long heartbeats they were still, learning the contours of each other’s lips again. He cradled her face, angled her head, and plunged his tongue deep.
She opened to him at once, gasping around his invasion. The velvety-hot feel of her tongue against his fanned flames of desire that had never been doused. But six years later, he wanted more. And he wanted it on his terms.
He backed her against the truck, pinning her. Locking his hands under her ass, he rocked his erection into her mound.
A ragged sigh left her, and he devoured it. Scooped it out with his tongue and fed her a growl in return. She wiggled against him, and he slipped his hands over the curves of her upper thighs. Out of his head with need, he jerked his hips, digging his cock into her pussy.
The desire to erase all trace of Nathan Rafferty or any other man since Dallas drove him on. She might not be his now, but he was damn well going to show her that she should be.
Thanks for stopping by! And big thanks to Randi for hosting me!
